Movie Narrative: Jungle Boy (1998)



The captivation of moving pictures is a source of tremendous inspiration.   For this reason and many more, RB28’s Movie Narratives, continues showing its love for movies with another movie narrative.  This week, Jungle Boy (1998), will be converted into a narrative and subsequently highlighted.  It is implied that the blog reader reads the movie narrative, and then, he or she watches the movie.  The effort is to give the blog reader, an enhanced experience.  RB28’s Movie Narratives, ends this movie narrative of Jungle Boy (1998), with some Hollywood facts.

             The synopsis follows.  Jungle Boy (1998) is an adventure movie, out of the Country of India.  In the Country of India, there is a celebration.  The narrator begins to narrate.  The narrator is Dr. John Geller, an archeologist.  Geller talks about stories, which exist about the jungle.  Some stories are fiction, while others, are true.  Geller is an American, living in India.  Furthermore, he knows a true story about the jungle.  This story is about a young boy, and, the dangerous jungle.  This story happened about 10 years earlier.  Suresh is the boy, and, Prema is the mother.  During the Night of Deva, a special celebration, this story takes place.  A local prince presides over the celebration.  The speech ends, and, the story of Suresh begins.  Suresh leaves his mother’s side, because, he wants to play.  While playing, Suresh sees a monkey.  He decides to follow the monkey, into the jungle.  Suresh disappears from the celebration.  In the jungle, Suresh chases after the monkey.  Unexpectedly, a leopard begins to follow Suresh.  At the celebration, Prema begins to look for Suresh.  The monkey runs up a tree, in the jungle.  Suresh stands in front of the tree, and, the leopard approaches.  Suresh climbs up the tree.  The monkey leaves, and, the leopard growls.  In the jungle, the monkey returns with an elephant.  The leopard leaves the area.  Unexpectedly, the elephant can talk.  The elephant calls Suresh, Manling.  The elephant says that, the Manling is safe with him.  Manling leaves with the elephant.  Geller continues to narrate.  Geller reveals that this night, Deva was protecting Suresh.  Furthermore, Deva gave Suresh a special gift.  The gift is the ability to understand the animals, when they talk.  Suresh is officially named, Manling.  Manling was accepted into the family of animals.  Furthermore, he learned to fly/swing from tree to tree; the way the monkeys do it.  At this time, Manling is a young adult.  The monkey is named Mantoo.  Mantoo stayed with Manling; as his best friend.  Geller also says that, a new chapter in Manling’s life is about to begin.  Meanwhile at his palace, the local prince talks to a man.  The prince wants to hire the man, for a job.  The prince wants a lost archeological artifact.  The prince says that, it used to belong to his family.  The man’s name is Mr. Hook.  The prince tells Mr. Hook that he is the law, in this area.  They agree on the deal.  Mr. Hook will search for the mysteriously lost archeological artifact.  However, Mr. Hook wants a 50/50 deal.  It appears that, the local prince agrees.  Geller continues to narrate.  Geller introduces himself, into the story.  At his house, Geller is preparing for the arrival of his niece; Anna.  Anna is arriving from the U.S.A.  In the jungle, Bono reveals to Manling that, the next day is Manling’s Day of Passage.  Furthermore, Sabre the leopard will be hunting him.  During the fight with Sabre, Manling used fire to fight off the leopard.  This violates the jungle law, and, Bono expels Manling from the jungle.  Manling arrives at Dr. Geller’s house, by accident.  Geller accepts the jungle boy, as a permanent guest at his house.  Manling is re-named Krishna, and, he learns English.  Eventually, Krishna reveals to Geller that he has seen the Mark of Naga.  Director, Allan A. Goldstein, does a good job.  This movie is an original movie, with a lot of charm.  Additionally, the animals are filmed and used, in a very captivating way.  The low budget doesn’t appear to be a hindrance, on the entertainment value.  Furthermore, everything is presented in a straight forward manner.  The writers do an equally good job.  There is a lot of charm, in this simple story.  Furthermore, everything is done in perfect amounts.  Lastly, the character John Geller is an exceptionally well written character.  The officially recognized stars contribute tremendously.  They would be missed, if they were not chosen.  Special recognition is merited to David Fox, for an exceptional, John Geller character.  Overall, this movie earns the rating of 5 out of 10.
            The movie narrative of, Jungle Boy (1998), is as follows.  In the Country of India, there is a celebration.  The narrator begins to narrate, the beginning of the movie.  The narrator is Dr. John Geller, an archeologist.  Geller talks about stories, which exist about the jungle.  Some stories are fiction, while others, are true.  Geller is an American, living in India.  Furthermore, he knows a true story about the jungle.  The story is about a young boy, and, the dangerous jungle.  This story happened about 10 years earlier.  Suresh is the boy, and, Prema is the mother.  During the Night of Deva, a special celebration, this story takes place.  A local prince presides over the celebration.  The prince addresses the people, in attendance.  Deva is a spirit, who protects the jungle.  The prince wishes the people joy and happiness.  The speech ends, and, the story of Suresh begins.  Suresh leaves his mother’s side, because, he wants to play.  While playing, Suresh sees a monkey.  He decides to follow the monkey, into the jungle.  Suresh disappears from the celebration.  In the jungle, Suresh chases after the monkey.  Unexpectedly, a leopard begins to follow Suresh.  At the celebration, Prema begins to look for Suresh.  The monkey runs up a tree, in the jungle.  Suresh stands in front of the tree, and, the leopard approaches.  Prema thinks another boy is her son.  She is surprised to discover that the boy, is not Suresh.  In the jungle, the leopard approaches Suresh.  Suresh climbs up the tree.  At the celebration, Prema continues to look for Suresh.  In the jungle, the leopard continues with the attack.  The monkey leaves, and, the leopard growls.  At the celebration, Prema is kept from entering the jungle.  In the jungle, the monkey returns with an elephant.  The leopard leaves the area.  Prema is asked to wait, until the next day to enter the jungle.  Unexpectedly, the elephant can talk.  The elephant calls Suresh, Manling.  The elephant says that, the Manling is safe with him.  Manling leaves with the elephant.  He sits on the elephant’s trunk.  Geller continues to narrate.  Geller reveals that this night, Deva was protecting Suresh.  Furthermore, Deva gave Suresh a special gift.  The gift is the ability to understand the animals, when they talk.  The elephant and Manling arrive at their destination.  The elephant is named Bono.  Bono makes an announcement, to the animals of the jungle.  It results that, Bono is the keeper of the jungle law.  Bono announces that Sabre, the leopard, has broken the jungle law.  The hunt on Suresh violates, the law.  The animals are asked to send Sabre, to Bono.  Suresh is officially named, Manling.  Out of nowhere, Sabre arrives at the location.  Bono reprimands Sabre, because, he hunted on the Night of Deva.  Surprisingly, Sabre demands to have the Manling.  Bono declares that Manling is protected, until the day he can protect himself.  Sabre agrees to leave, but, he promises to return for Manling one day.  Geller continues to narrate.  Manling was accepted into the family of animals.  Furthermore, he learned to fly/swing from tree to tree; the way the monkeys do it.  At this time, Manling is a young adult.  The monkey is named, Mantoo.  Mantoo stayed with Manling; as his best friend.  Geller also says that, a new chapter in Manling’s life is about to begin.  Meanwhile at his palace, the local prince talks to a man.  The prince wants to hire the man, for a job.  The prince wants a lost archeological artifact.  The man is interested in the mysteriously lost archeological artifact.  The prince says that, it used to belong to his family.  They leave together, to be able, to talk in another room.  The scene changes.  Manling travels with Bono and Mantoo.  Bono is pleased with Manling’s fighting abilities.  The scene changes.  The man’s name is Mr. Hook.  At the palace, the local prince continues to talk to Mr. Hook.  The prince tells Mr. Hook that he is the law, in this area.  They agree on the deal.  Mr. Hook will search for the mysteriously lost archeological artifact.  However, Mr. Hook wants a 50/50 deal.  It appears that, the local prince agrees.  The scene changes.  Manling, Mantoo and Bono travel through the Valley of Death.  The scene changes.  At the palace, the prince assigns Sanjay to Mr. Hook.  Sanjay becomes Mr. Hook’s personal guide.  Mr. Hook isn’t too optimistic, about Sanjay.  The prince orders Sanjay to take Mr. Hook, to an old plantation.  The prince gives Mr. Hook the title; Game Warden.  The scene changes.  In the jungle; Manling, Mantoo and Bono continue their journey.  Bono is taking the group to the Mark of Naga; in the Bamboo Jungle.  Geller continues to narrate.  Geller introduces himself, into the story.  At his house, Geller is preparing for the arrival of his niece; Anna.  Anna is arriving from the U.S.A.  Ravi, Geller’s servant, reminds Geller that Anna will be arriving soon.  Out of nowhere, Ravi asks Geller if, he wants to buy something.  Geller doesn’t answer Ravi, and, he leaves.  Unexpectedly, Geller returns for his keys.  He also reminds Ravi that, he should be sweeping.  Ravi ignores Geller.  In the jungle, Bono’s group arrives at the Mark of Naga.  Naga is the great protector, who is wise and without mercy.  Bono reveals to Manling that, the next day is Manling’s Day of Passage.  Furthermore, Sabre the leopard will be hunting him.  Manling doesn’t feel that, he is ready.  Geller continues to narrate.  Mr. Hook travels through the jungle.  Additionally, Geller reveals that this day, everyone meets each other.  Their individual paths cross, and, they become linked together.  Geller drives his niece through the jungle, in his jeep.  Anna’s father is Geller’s brother.  Geller is in search of a famous lost city.  He also talks about his work, with Anna.  At the same time, Manling flies/swings from tree to tree.  Additionally, Mr. Hook walks through the forest.  Unexpectedly, Manling swings from one tree to the other.  He also cuts through the middle of the dirt road.  Geller stops the jeep and stares.  Manling continues to swing, and, Mr. Hook sees him.  Mr. Hook runs, and, he arrives at Geller’s location.  Geller and Mr. Hook have an awkward first meeting.  Mr. Hook accuses Manling of being a poacher.  Geller points to the direction, in which Manling went.  He also says that, he is a professor working as a consultant.  Mr. Hook says that, he is also interested in relics.  Mr. Hook leaves in search of Manling.  Geller enters the jeep and continues driving.  Surprisingly, Manling was watching from a tree.  Manling noticed Anna.  Mantoo says that Anna, is a female.  Officially, Mantoo has to leave Manling.  At his house, Geller and Anna talk about Manling.  Surprisingly, Geller knows the story of Suresh and Prema.  According to the story, Suresh died.  Geller, however, isn’t too sure about that.  Additionally, Prema died of a broken heart.  In the jungle, Bono gives Manling final instructions.  Manling practices hitting, or fighting, with a stick.  Bono orders Manling, to the Valley of Death.  At the Valley of Death, Sabre arrives.  Manling sits and waits patiently.  Sabre approaches Manling, and, the hunt begins.  During the hunt, Sabre breaks Manling’s stick.  The hunt becomes a chase; Manling runs and Sabre chases.  At Geller’s house, Anna prepares to leave for the market.  The hunt and chase continues.  Both, Mr. Hook and Anna are present at the market.  Mr. Hook attempts to talk to Anna.  Unexpectedly, Manling runs into the market.  Mr. Hook, Anna and Ravi watch the hunt.  Manling uses fire to fight off Sabre.  Sabre says that, the red fire is against the law.  Surprisingly, Sabre runs away.  At Geller’s house, Ravi and Geller talk about Manling.  Ravi believes that, Manling is a devil who can talk to the animals.  Geller believes that, everything has a scientific explanation.  At night, Sabre and Manling meet-up with Bono and Mantoo.  Sabre reveals that, Manling used the red fire.  Manling admits that, he used the red fire.  Bono declares that, Manling broke the law.  Manling begs for mercy.  Bono expels Manling from the jungle.  Bono and Mantoo leave Manling for forever.  The next day, Deva appears and speaks to Manling.  Deva names Manling, Krishna.  Krishna reveals that, he has been expelled.  Deva tells Krishna, to go to, the town with the humans.  Krishna is reluctant, at first.  Deva tells Krishna to go with the humans.  Furthermore, Deva promises to see him again.  In the town; Ravi, Sanjay and Mr. Hook meet-up.  They talk about Geller and artifacts.  Mr. Hook asks Ravi, to keep him informed, about what Geller does.  Ravi agrees to do, what he is asked to do.  Ravi and Sanjay are instructed to meet, every couple of days.  Mr. Hook pays Ravi, for his cooperation.  Geller continues to narrate.  Krishna obeyed Bono’s order.  Alone, Krishna travels to the town.  Surprisingly, Krishna arrives at Geller’s house.  It is nighttime and Anna is the first to see Krishna.  Anna invites Krishna, to enter the house.  Krishna enters and meets Geller and Ravi.  Geller gives Krishna a warm welcome.  Ravi brings Anna and Krishna ice cream.  Krishna and Anna eat the ice cream.  Geller is amused, and, Ravi prepares Krishna a bed.  Krishna sleeps in the bed, this night.  Geller continues to narrate.  Sabre left the jungle, and, was never seen again.  Krishna is given clothes, and, taught things.  Geller teaches Krishna, to write his name.  In a short amount of time, Krishna learns English.  Krishna, in turn, teaches jungle things to Geller and Anna.  In the town, Sanjay and Ravi meet-up.  Sanjay asks, for Mr. Hook, about Krishna.  Ravi reveals that, Krishna can talk to the animals.  Sanjay begins to tell Ravi, about Mr. Hook’s plan.  In the jungle, Bono and Mantoo talk about Krishna.  Mantoo says that, he/she will visit Krishna.  The next day, Ravi takes Krishna away; for an urgent matter.  Krishna is asked to talk to an animal, in the market.  Ravi insists, and, Krishna agrees to help.  At the market, Mr. Hook arrives, and, a horse is restless.  Krishna and Ravi arrive at the market.  Krishna talks to a snake.  Ravi takes Krishna to the horse.  Krishna talks to the horse.  The horse says that, his hoof hurts.  Krishna tells Ravi, what the horse said.  From a distance; Mr. Hook and Sanjay talk about Krishna.  They also call over Krishna.  Anna decides to leave, and, look for Krishna.  Mr. Hook begins to talk to Krishna.  Krishna says that, Anna thinks that he is a bad man.  Mr. Hook doesn’t agree with Anna.  Mr. Hook gives Krishna a necklace; as a symbol of their friendship.  Krishna says that, he doesn’t have anything to give Mr. Hook.  Mr. Hook says that, he knows of something.  Mr. Hook asks to see ancient secret ruins.  Krishna says that, he has seen ancient ruins.  Unexpectedly, Anna arrives and Mr. Hook leaves quickly.  Sanjay follows Mr. Hook.  Anna asks Krishna, about, Mr. Hook.  Krishna shows Anna the necklace.  Anna asks Krishna to stay away, from Mr. Hook.  They leave the market, and, return to Geller’s house.  Geller continues to narrate.  Geller reveals that the town, became suspicious of Krishna.  Furthermore, the people believed that he was a devil.  Geller and Anna remained as Krishna’s friends.  Mantoo arrives, and, visits with Krishna.  Geller and Anna arrive at Krishna’s location.  Geller asks to know, about the conversation with Mr. Hook.  Geller travels to see Mr. Hook.  From this point forward; the series of events, take the viewer, to the end.  Krishna reveals to Geller that, he has seen the Mark of Naga.  Mr. Hook executes an attack on Geller’s house.  Furthermore, Geller and Anna are taken prisoner.  Krishna leaves on a tireless journey, to rescue Geller and Anna.  Mr. Hook takes Geller and Anna, to the Mark of Naga.  Mr. Hook successfully returns to the local prince, with an ancient artifact or relic.  The local prince, is able, to rise up Naga.  You have to watch, in order to know, how this movie ends.
