The captivation of moving pictures is a source of tremendous
inspiration. For this reason and many

The synopsis follows. Captivity
(2007) is a fascinating horror movie about a team of killers. An unknown, mysterious and brutal killer
finishes off a victim; to begin this movie.
From there, serious and meticulous preparations start for the next
victim. Jennifer is a beautiful, young
and popular fashion model. Through the
killer’s preparations, it is apparent that, Jennifer is an extremely popular
fashion model. The preparations are
finished, and, Jennifer attends a nightclub by herself. At the nightclub, the killer kidnaps Jennifer. Jennifer wakes up in a cement room, and, she
is being held in captivity. Sometime
into being held captive, Jennifer discovers that a man is sharing her faith in
a room next to her room. The man’s name
is Gary Dexter. The two victims of
kidnapping and captivity pass time, and, they endure torture sessions. Additionally, they develop a romantic bond
with each other. Furthermore, they also
execute a disastrous escape attempt.
Ultimately, the house and killers always win. It is revealed that the killer is Ben Dexter,
Gary’s brother. Director Roland Joffe does a fantastic job in
making this movie, an entertaining experience.
The action is always captivating.
The writers do an equally fantastic job.
The Jennifer character is very believable, and, holds your attention
throughout the movie. The officially
recognized stars contribute tremendously to this movie. Furthermore, they all go well together in
their scenes. Special recognition is
merited to Elisha Cuthbert for the Jennifer character. Overall, this movie earns the rating of 7 out
of 10.
The movie narrative is as follows. An unknown and mysterious killer has a victim
restrained to a chair style table. The
victim is a man. Furthermore, the
unknown killer has made a body cast on the man’s upper body and head. There are tubes that, enter the man’s
nose. The killer pours chemicals into
the tubes. The victim shakes, and,
appears to die. To finish the job, the
killer beats the victim with a sledge hammer.
The killer starts to make preparations for the next victim. Furthermore, the killer has several video
tapes of a woman named, Jennifer. The
city is New York City. Jennifer is a popular fashion model, and, she
is at a photo shoot. Additionally,
someone is video taping Jennifer, for the killer. Jennifer attends a party at a nightclub, by
herself. At the nightclub, Jennifer is
being video taped. It appears that, the
killer placed a chemical in Jennifer’s drink.
In the nightclub, Jennifer finds a video camera. The video camera is showing video of
her. The killer appears and kidnaps
Jennifer. Jennifer wakes up, and, she is
being held in captivity in a room made up of cement walls. The room has a giant poster of Jennifer. Furthermore, it has everything that Jennifer
needs, so that, she is there for a long time.
A steel cabinet compartment passes things from the outside. Jennifer starts to destroy the room, and, the
killer turns on a sleeping gas. Jennifer
wakes up, and, she is tied to a dentist style chair. Furthermore, she watches a video of another
woman being tortured through chemicals that, burn the skin. Jennifer also watches the woman die. The killer prepares to torture Jennifer in a
similar way. However, this time the
chemicals were harmless, and, Jennifer wakes up in the cement room. Furthermore, she removes make-up that,
appears to be like burn marks. Jennifer
attempts to escape through the ventilation ducts, but, the killer re-captures
her. Jennifer wakes up tied to the
chair. The killer makes a milk shake of
blood, eyes, ears and other body parts.
Additionally, he puts a funnel into Jennifer’s mouth, and, pours the
blood milk shake into it. Jennifer
drinks everything, and, she also falls asleep.
Jennifer wakes up in the cement room.
Furthermore, she discovers a glass section that, divides the room. The glass is painted black. Additionally, she sees a man in the other
room. The man and Jennifer start to talk
to each other. They find a vent section
in the wall. They start to pass time
talking to each other. The killer
prepares a scrap book about the torture session. The scrap book also has comic book style
drawings. The killer also shows video of
Jennifer doing interviews, on the television.
The killer enters the cement room, and, he puts Jennifer to sleep. Furthermore, he puts Jennifer in a glass
chamber. Sand starts to fill the glass
chamber, whilst, Jennifer still inside of it.
The man, who is next to Jennifer’s room, sees what is happening. The man’s name is Gary Dexter. Gary
breaks a hole in the ceiling, and, rescues Jennifer. They quickly attempt an escape. They enter a room, and, quickly discover a
mutilated dead body in a bath tub. They
run and continue with the escape attempt.
They find the killer’s car, and, crash through the garage door. Unfortunately, the car is equipped with
sleeping gas, and, the killer turns it on.
Jennifer and Gary are successfully re-captured. Jennifer wakes up tied to a chair. Jennifer’s dog is hanging from a cage. Additionally, she has access to a shotgun
that, is pointing at her dog. The killer
has a shotgun pointed at Jennifer’s head.
Jennifer has to kill her dog, if she wants to live. Jennifer kills her dog and lives. Gary
is in his room, and, they start to talk to each other. Jennifer changes into a dress, and, puts on
make-up. The killer opens the door,
which divides their rooms, and lets them be together. The killer plays videos, through the
television, of torture sessions. The
killer captures Gary. Furthermore, he enters the room for
Jennifer. Both are tied to an individual
chair, and, they face each other. They
watch a video of a woman in bed with her son.
Furthermore, the video shows the woman lying in bed high from drugs. Finally, the video shows the son stabbing his
mother to death. The killer appears,
and, pulls out one of Gary’s teeth
with pliers. The killer puts Gary and
Jennifer in the same room. They spend
time together, and, have sexual intercourse.
The killer passes through the cement room, and, he enters a secret
door. The secret door takes the killer
to a part of the building that, looks like a house or residence. Gary Dexter wakes up, and, he accesses a
secret door. Furthermore, he continues
walking, and, he enters another door.
This door takes him to a residential part of the building. Gary
sits down, and, he watches the video of the boy who killed his mother. However, this time the video shows a second
boy watching the murder. Gary Dexter
enters the bathroom and Ben Dexter, his brother, is in the bath tub. They start to talk like friends. It results that, the killer is Ben
Dexter. Ben is a fat man, but, he looks
skinny as the killer. Gary Dexter is
part of the murder every single time. Gary
receives pleasure from the hero sex, as he calls it. From this point forward; the series of
events, take the viewer, to the end. You
have to watch to see, how this movie ends.
